Tasting

Tasting

In the Poggiogirato of Poggio della Dogana, there are all the nuances of Romagna: on the nose and in the mouth you will find a kaleidoscope of scents and aromas, from cherry to blackberry, from orange to blueberry, from mint to rosemary, juniper and black pepper.

Vinification
notes

Vinification without skins, traditional slow pressing in a vertical press. Fermentation in steel vats at a gently controlled temperature.

Label

The label is taken from one of the sketches by Silvio Gordini, great-great-grandfather of Aldo and Paolo, a famous Romagna painter of the early 1900s.

Poggiogirato takes its name from the arrangement of the vineyards with the rows aligned in girapoggio, orthogonal to the line of maximum slope.
