Tasting

Tasting

Complex, spicy and full of character, with a silky tannic texture and a saline finish.
Purple-red to the eye and with a fragrant nose, sweet in its ripe fruit characterised by hints of sour cherries and black cherry. Red fruits and a subtle vegetal and floral aspect of rose and violet round off a nose of great complexity. The elegance on the palate is typical of Sangiovese and our sandy soils enhance it. Soft and warm, with fruity, fresh and juicy crunchy notes make it a fun wine with silky and dense tannins, elegant and excellently blended in a complex drink.

Vinification
notes

Fermentation and subsequent 20-day maceration on the skins take place in steel vats at a controlled temperature.

Label

The label depicts a floral study in Indian ink and watercolour by Silvio Gordini, great-great-grandfather of Aldo and Paolo Rametta, a famous Romagna painter of the early 1900s. The bouquet evokes the floral scents of rose and violet which give Romagna Sangiovese Brisighella its great complexity.

Interesting fact – Arlesiana takes its name from a mare of the stable of the maternal grandfather of Aldo and Paolo Rametta, and represents the image of docility, but at the same time of pride and strength. She gave birth to the great champions that made the team famous over the years.
