It presents a slight tannic texture, typical of the grape variety.

Fermentation in 225 l oak barrels 50% fi rst passage.
Ageing: 9 months in barrique, and at least 15 months in bottle.
Label
The label shows an allegory of nature, taken from Silvio Gordini’s sketches, depicting a winged putto riding a grotesque two-headed chimera, intent on seizing the rich basket of fruit placed right on the mythological being’s head.
The image is striking in the details of the brushstroke, showing a vivacity of colour and elegance without equal.
The name Farfarello comes from one of the trotting horses in Paolo and Aldo’s grandfather’s stable, a horse so named because it is an animal with a strong character, just like the Albana that takes its name.
